The Microchip PolarFire® SoC Icicle Kit is a low-cost development platform for evaluating Microchip’s RISC-V SoC, featuring real-time processing, low-power operation, and rich peripheral integration. It includes LPDDR4, SPI, and eMMC memory, PCIe root port, power monitoring, Raspberry Pi and mikroBUS expansion headers, and various wired connectivity options.
RTEMS is a Real-Time Operating System established and widely used in the Space Domain for decades. It is the one and only Open Source Operating System that is pre-qualified according to ECSS Cat. B. This Package includes a pre-configured RTEMS that is adapted to the hardware and to the firmware of the Iceicle board by a custom software library. It allows to operate RTEMS flawlessly with the board and with its communication interfaces.
