On March 13 and 14, visitors from different countries gathered in Puchheim for the second progress meeting of the SAFEST project.

This is a joint project, funded by the European HORIZON initiative, aimed at developing a new Autonomous Flight Termination Unit (AFTU) for satellite launchers. It is based on a multi-layer approach for Integrated Avionics (MIA) architecture, which is also being developed in this project.

Apart from the busy project work, the visitors enjoyed a few touristic highlights in Munich.
